Memory Lane

Instant nostalgia

Browsing through my picture archives this morning I came across some long-forgotten snapshots taken seven years ago in Top Gun. They capture the feel of the Blok in that bygone era, when flashy decor and hi-tech sound and lighting were as yet unknown, and the bar staff didn’t all wear twee uniforms.

I hope these piccies bring back happy memories for all you guys who were around in that golden era; and for those who weren’t, it’s a little taste of how things were. Enjoy!

  1. Great photos, I spent much of 1992-1995 in Jakarta (lived at Hotel Borobudur) Those pictures bring back many fond memories. Wish I was still there…. I think I recognize one of the girls in the second pic… Heh heh…

  2. Ahhhh yes they were the days? You could go down to the back of the Top Gun and not be bothered by 10,000 pretty things that thought that the lump in your pants was your wallet.
All gone now, along with the red carpet that lay on the floor of the Top Gun for about 15 years and 15,000 spilt beers, along with the hotel Ambara
